Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack fails to appear for Nottingham Forest training
On-loan Aston Villa striker, Ross McCormack has failed to appear for Nottingham Forest training for three weeks, according to reports.
The Villa striker was signed from Fulham during the summer transfer window after scoring 23 goals for The Cottagers last season.
However following a poor start to the season at B6, he failed to hold down a place in the Villa squad, before a high-profile fall-out with Steve Bruce scuppered any chance at featuring under Roberto Di Matteo's successor.
The Scottish striker missed training at Villa after claiming the gates to his home were stuck, Steve Bruce revealed, eventually leading to his departure to Forest on-loan in the January transfer window.
However, following the move he's found limited success - scoring just once for Forest during the 5-1 loss to Norwich.
It's reported that an achilles injury is bothering the front man, but he's failed to turn up for treatment at Forest or his parent club.
Reports also state that Forest have declined to comment on the striker's situation, but personal issues are also thought to be another cause for his absence.
McCormack's loan deal ends at the conclusion of this season, when he will head back to Villa.
