Tommy Elphick is determined to reward Villa's long-suffering away fans with three points at Queens Park Rangers.

Villa have won just one match on the road since the opening day of last season – a record stretched by their 1-0 reverse at Norwich City on Tuesday.

Another bumper away following will head to the capital hoping for a change in fortunes on their travels, with only restricted view seats remaining, and skipper Elphick wants his side to produce a performance for them.

He said: "We took such a huge following to Norwich in midweek and we simply didn't deliver.

"It's the fans you feel sorry for the most. That's who you want to reward every single week. We want to get back on track this weekend for us and for them.

"We massively appreciate them. They have been brilliant, truly fantastic. They are priceless for us.

"It's amazing to see week after week that they sell out the allocation – big numbers too. You really appreciate them when you come out on to the pitch and you see them packing out the away end. It's some sight! We didn't deliver for them on Tuesday – but we have to now on Sunday.

"Our home form has obviously been the stand-out so far this season but now we need to start getting it right away from home too. That will put us right in contention."

Villa will also be looking to put another record to bed at Loftus Road. The QPR match will be the 11th time Villa have been shown live on TV, but the Midlanders are yet to pick up a victory in front of the cameras this season.
