Aston Villa fans to get the chance to sit with Dr Tony Xia
Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has revealed plans of how he will pick fans to sit with him in the directors' box – and it looks like being a lottery.
Xia mooted the idea of sitting alongside him recently, but tweeted yesterday to say he had come up with a plan to offer VIP tickets to fans to thank them for their support.
The Chinese millionaire will pick out fans from season-ticket holders, general ticket buyers and those who post on Twitter using the hashtag #fightlikelions.
The VIP experience is set to begin with the next home game against Cardiff City. It is the latest fan-focused move from Villa who have made a huge change of policy in terms of fan engagement since the days of Randy Lerner. Supporters have this week also received emails for a wide-ranging fan survey on the club.
