Lee Hendrie signs for Tamworth

Lee Hendrie will play for another club his father once managed next season after the former Aston Villa and England midfielder signed for non-league Tamworth.

The 35-year-old joins as a free agent after leaving Redditch this summer. He also played non-league football for Kidderminster Harriers and Chasetown last season.

His father Paul was boss at Redditch from November 1991 before leaving for the Lamb Ground in February 1995. He was sacked in December 2001.
