Luke Young wants to stay at Villa

Luke Young today dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from Aston Villa.

The experienced defender was reported to be a target for Fulham, but the player himself is adamant that rumours of his departure have no foundation.

Young said: "My family rang me again and I said 'Oh don't worry about it, that one's been going on for about five years, the Fulham one'

"And there's the West Ham one. I don't know what all that's about or where it starts or where it comes from.

"I'll still be a Villa player in two weeks' time unless I'm told any different, but I've not had any contact with any of those clubs."
