Villa's John Carew out for 3-4 weeks

Villa's injury crisis deepened today with the news that John Carew will be out for three to four weeks.

The Norwegian striker has torn a calf muscle.

He joins Emile Heskey (knee) and Gaby Agbonlahor on the sidelines, leaving Villa boss Gerard Houllier with limited options upfront.

He may be forced to pair Ashley Young with Nathan Delfouneso for tomorrow's trip to Fulham.
