David Okagbue, Liam Gordon, Harry Williams and Albert Adomah all got on the score sheet as Walsall made it nine wins on the bounce in League Two.

Matt, who has weighed in with nine goals so far this season, signalled to the bench with 10 minutes left and was replaced by Josh Gordon.

However, Sadler has confirmed that the 35-year-old was suffering with cramp and nothing more sinister.

Boss Sadler said: "Just cramped up. As soon as I saw that, I was like get him off now."

Adomah was given the nod in attack, as the front-two boasted an average age of 72.

37-year-old Adomah has played two 90 minutes in the past four days and Sadler hailed the work put in by his experienced attacking duo as Walsall put on a show without Nathan Lowe.

He continued: "Albert will still be playing at 72. There's still every chance he'll still be out there.

"The pair of them were the focal point for so much of that. Albert scores but the defenders score a couple of goals today.

"But the work put in by those guys to just be that presence for the team and presence for everything.

"It's so important for us. We respect that and now we rest up and go again. Albert has played two 90 minutes this week and you'd never know that.

"They were both amazing and it was also great to see Josh Gordon back out there. His press for the fourth goal helped make that."
