The Villa teenagers involved were goalkeeper Filip Marschall, midfielders Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Ramsay and forward Louie Barry.

For Chukwuemeka and Ramsay, this comes only two days after the pair signed their first professional deals with Villa.

Ramsay, the younger brother of emerging first-team player Jacob, has been a regular for the club’s under-23 team this season.

Other than Manchester City, who have five players among the squad, Villa are second most represented club in the Young Lions age group.

Joining the Villa youngsters in the England squad is Albion defender Ethan Ingram.

The 18-year-old has impressed for the Baggies’ under-18s this season under manager Richard Stevens.
