Jack Grealish and Dwight Gayle battle for player of the month award
Dwight Gayle and Jack Grealish will go head-to-head for the Championship player of the month award for April.
Albion striker Gayle has been nominated for his six goals in as many games, including a hat-trick, while Villa skipper Grealish has been put forward after contributing two goals and two assists in his superb run of form as the claret and blues cemented a place in the play-offs.
Villa boss Dean Smith has been nominated for manager of the month after also winning the award for March.
Smith goes up against Wigan boss Paul Cook, Swansea's Graham Potter and Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, who secured the Blades' promotion to the Premier League late in April.
Joining Grealish and Gayle in the player of the month race are Swansea's Daniel James and Derby full-back Jayden Bogle.
