West Brom and Aston Villa U23's share spoils
The derby spoils were shared last night as Albion and Villa under-23s battled out a 1-1 draw in their Premier League 2 clash at Kidderminster’s Aggborough Stadium.
Hal Robson-Kanu fired a strong Baggies side, that also included Wes Hoolahan, Oliver Burke, Sam Field and Tyrone Mears, in front early on when he rounded off a move involving Hoolahan and Burke with a volleyed finish.
Jordan Cox went close to levelling for a youthful Villa side with a shot just off target.
Villa pushed for an equaliser in the second half and they were rewarded when Cox found the net with a low drive past keeper Jonathan Bond.
