Wolves
Jonny Castro will soon arrive at Atlético Madrid, but will be loaned straight to newly-promoted Wolves.
Atlético will pay €7 million with further add-ons possible.
But it is thought he will spend a season in the Premier League before returning to Spain.
Another midfielder strongly linked with a move to Wolves is Gelson Martins.
The 23-year-old winger, who has emerged from the famous Sporting Lisbon academy, is one of a number of key men reportedly keen to terminate his contract with the club.
Sporting are determined to keep hold of Martins, but Wolves could prove to be an enticing destination given that Martins would be able to reunite with Rui Patricio, Ruben Neves and co at Molineux.
West Brom
West Brom's ambitious attempt to land Dwight Gayle on loan has been unsurprisingly turned down by Newcastle United.
The Baggies were hoping to sign Gayle on a season-long loan deal but Rafa Benitez is unwilling to lose one of his strikers on a temporary contract.
Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Vidar Orn Kjartansson is attracting attention from a trio of Championship clubs.
Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers and West Brom are all in the hunt to sign Kjartansson this summer.
He will cost in the region of £3.5m.
Aston Villa
Jack Grealish is ready to tell Aston Villa he wants to join Tottenham as the north Londoners prepare to launch a formal bid to sign the £30m-rated midfielder.
Villa will be reluctant to lose the England Under-21 international and their financial woes have eased following last week’s £55m takeover by Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.
Walsall
Dean Keates is currently assessing his centre-back options.
Christian Mbulu, Tom Egert, Adam Mitchell and Tom Brewitt are all rumoured to be training with the Saddlers this week.
A decision is also expected to be made on a Cypriot winger who has been on trial for three weeks.
