We're not saying that they're true, just that they're out there.

Wolves

Young Wolves striker Niall Ennis is a transfer target for Shrewsbury Town.

The 18-year-old forward has featured at youth international level for England, but is unlikely to make a first-team impact at Molineux this season.

Salop are the favourites to bring in the youngster as they look to build on their League One survival in their previous campaign.

Wolves are being placed as shock outsider to sign Benfica striker Raul Jimenez.

Bookmakers currently have Nuno Espirito Santo's men as 33/1 outsiders for the Mexican international, who's made over 50 appearances for his country.

Liverpool and West Ham have both been linked with the 26-year-old, who joined the Portuguese giants from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth approximately £19m

West Brom

Arsenal have been linked with a €30m move for reported West Brom target William Carvalho.

Tony Pulis has confirmed that he's been over to see the Portugal star on a previous scouting trip, but is among a number of managers supposedly keen on the defensive midfielder.

Newcastle are also keen, although Arsene Wenger now seems the most likely to firm up his interest with a bid for the Sporting Lisbon man.

Meanwhile, West Brom have reportedly enquired about the availability of Dinamo Zagreb defender Filip Benkovic.

The 6ft 4in centre-back has represented Croatia at youth levels and is still just 20 years old, but has a lengthy contract in place.

It's thought that a fee of around £13m could be enough to tempt Zagreb into a sale.

Aston Villa

Villa are reportedly interested in a deal for Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent.

Steve Bruce was previously rumoured to be interested in Reds teammate Sheyi Ojo on-loan, but it's now thought that he could be keen on both players.

Huddersfield, Derby, Leeds, Sunderland and Middlesbrough are all thought to hold an interest in the fledgling talent.

Also, Sunderland and Leeds are now battling for the signing of Villa centre-back Tommy Elphick.

The 29-year-old signed at B6 from Bournemouth in a £3m deal, and was immediately made captain, before struggling throughout the season.

Blues are also keen, with Chris Samba's and John Terry's arrivals making first-team opportunities limited at the position.

Walsall

Saddlers fans are being urged to attend a fan focus meeting at the Banks's Stadium next week in an effort to gain answers regarding the club's transfer policy.

Chief executive Stefan Gamble and club secretary and director Dan Mole will be on hand to answer questions from 7pm on monday.

There are fears boss Jon Whitney does not have the funds to sign a new striker ahead of the 2017/18 season, despite the sale of Andreas Makris earlier in the summer.
