Could Alvaro Negredo be bound for the Midlands?

We're not saying that they're true, just that they're out there.

Wolves

Wolves have been installed as second favourites to sign Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo this summer.

The Spanish forward spent last season on-loan at Middlesbrough in their relegation season, but was one of the brighter points in a dismal campaign in the north-east.

However, Wolves are 7/1 to secure his services this season, behind Besiktas.

Nuno Espirito Santo is in need of a striker following the departure of Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to Reading.

West Brom

Everton are being linked with a move for Belgian winger Nacer Chadli.

The midfielder didn't travel to Austria with Tony Pulis' side earlier this month after a heated exchange with the head coach, but has joined the squad in Hong Kong for their Premier League Asia Trophy exploits.

The former Spurs man only joined Albion last summer, but Pulis has urged the attacking midfielder to stay at The Hawthorns.

Newcastle United are also set to join in the race for Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs.

The left-back is of interest to Albion this summer as the hunt for a permanent player in the position continues.

The Magpies are keen on battling for his signature though, as Pulis considers a move for the Englishman.

Aston Villa

Reports are suggesting that Steve Bruce is finally set to offer centre-back Chris Samba a contract at Villa Park.

The veteran defender was impressive during the pre-season clash with Walsall, and could have finally sealed himself a new deal following months behind the scenes at B6.

He formerly plied his trade with Blackburn Rovers and QPR in England, as well as having a stint in Russia.

Meanwhile, Bruce could battle Birmingham City in a deal for Everton winger Aaron Lennon.

The Villa boss was linked with the Englishman during his time at Hull City, and that interest may have carried over to his new employers as a loan deal could be on the cards.

The paceman might struggle for time on the pitch at Goodison Park, with a number of new faces heading into the club this summer.

Walsall

No Walsall rumours today.
