Nuno Espirito Santo's side will host the Glovers at Molineux on the week commencing August 7th.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa face a trip to Colchester United, the first meeting between the clubs since 1980.

Walsall will face a tough trip to Sheffield United, a team they beat three times last season.

Birmingham City will face Crawley Town at St. Andrews in their opening round fixture.

In total, 35 first-round draws were made in Bangkok, Thailand - the home of Carabao Energy Drink, who sponsor the competition which was named the EFL Cup last season.

The draw was regionalised in an effort to reduce travel times for clubs, with all League One and Two clubs included.

Middlesbrough and Hull are the only Championship teams not included in the draw.

Fixtures will take place in the opening week of the 2017/18 campaign, with midweek games on the week commencing August 7th.

The final is set to take place in February, hosted at Wembley Stadium.
