Transfer Rumours - June 9th

Expressandstar.com brings you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.

Grant Hanley could feature in the Championship again next season.

We're not saying they're true, just that they're out there.

Wolves

Wolves are reportedly keen to fight for the signature of Welsh midfielder, Emyr Huws.

The 23-year-old spent the back-end of last season on-loan at Ipswich from parent club Cardiff, and is likely to leave the Bluebirds this summer.

Scoring three in 13 appearances, several clubs are thought to be interested, including the Tractor Boys and Bristol City.

Also, it's thought that Wolves aren't likely to do deals for Diogo Goncalves or Filip Krovinovic.

Goncalves isn't thought to be of interest at Molineux, whilst Krovinovic can't secure a work permit.

Wolves are likely to be linked with a number of Portugal-based players this summer following the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo.

West Brom

Everton midfielder James McCarthy is the latest man linked with a move to The Hawthorns.

It's thought that Tony Pulis is an admirer of the Irish international, and could move to bring him in if the price is right.

Reports suggest that the Toffees could try and charge up to £20m for his services - a cost which would likely put off plenty of potential suitors.

Meanwhile, Pulis could be interested in filling his left-back slot with a move for Napoli defender, Faouzi Ghoulam.

Thought to be of interest to Liverpool, the full-back will set back Albion a club-record fee according to reports.

The Italian club are thought to have a price tag set at over £17m for the Algerian.

Aston Villa

Steve Bruce could be set to bring in Newcastle United defender, Grant Hanley this summer.

The Scottish defender is likely to be let go ahead of the Magpies' Premier League return - and following Curtis Davies' signing for Derby, Villa are now thought to have a clear path to his signature.

Derby were reportedly keen on the former Blackburn man, but having signed Davies they're unlikely to spend the cash on another centre-back.

Meanwhile, Villa are the latest Midlands club linked with a move for Tom Huddlestone.

The Hull midfielder is thought to have a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for just £2m following their relegation.

Bruce may be tempted into a reunion and is known to be in the market for another defensive minded midfielder.

Walsall

Walsall are keen to get their summer transfer activity going, and a move for Leeds United forward, Lee Erwin could be wise.

The Scotsman spent last season on-loan at Oldham Athletic, scoring eight goals for the club.

Featuring for Scotland at youth level, the 22-year-old might be a name worth considering should Jon Whitney be keen to bolster his attacking ranks.
