Transfer Rumours - May 23rd
Expressandstar.com brings you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We're not saying they're true, just that they're out there.
Wolves
Wolves are rumoured to be among a number of Championship clubs interested in Southampton forward, Sam Gallagher.
The 21-year-old spent last season on-loan at Backburn Rovers, and impressed despite the club's eventual relegation - bagging 12 goals in all competitions.
Southampton have slapped a £7m price tag on the forward, with Wolves joined by Aston Villa and Sunderland in showing an interest.
West Brom
Tony Pulis is reportedly interested in a move for promising Middlesbrough defender, Ben Gibson.
The 24-year-old has already expressed his desire to play in the top flight following Boro's relegation, so a move is likely.
Rated at £20m-25m by the Riverside outfit, any deal would prove a real show of intent by Albion, although the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester are also thought to be interested in the centre-back.
Also, West Brom have also sounded out moves for Crotone duo Marcus Rohden and Diego Falcinelli.
Albion reportedly scouted the pair during the club's 3-0 loss to Juventus in Serie A.
Rohden, a 26-year-old Swedish international midfielder, has bagged one goal for the club and is known for his defensive qualities.
Meanwhile 25-year-old Falcinelli is actually on-loan at Crotone from Sassuolo, scoring 12 goals this season - and bagged a hat-trick against Empoli earlier this season.
Aston Villa
Steve Bruce is reportedly weighing up a move for Fulham defender Richard Stearman, following his loan spell at Wolves this season.
The 29-year-old wasn't brought in on a permanent deal by the Molineux club, meaning a move elsewhere could happen.
He made 21 total appearances for Fulham and Wolves this season, scoring in the latter's memorable FA Cup victory over Liverpool.
One defender who could be leaving Villa Park this summer is Alan Hutton, after he was linked with a move to Bristol City.
The Scottish full-back has performed admirably for Villa since their relegation, but is among three right-backs at the club.
Rumours suggest a loan deal is more likely for the Robins, although any move could be dictated by Ritchie De Laet's recovery from injury.
Walsall
Walsall may be eyeing a move for Colchester United defender, Richard Brindley.
The U's failed to make the play-offs this season, but Brindley played a key part for them over the campaign with 43 appearances.
In April, it was reported that the wing-back was a surprise target for Egyptian giants, Zamalek.
