Harry Redknapp agrees one-year contract at Birmingham City
Harry Redknapp has agreed a one-year deal with Birmingham City, keeping him at the club after his successful three-game stint at the end of the season.
The 70-year-old was brought in following Gianfraco Zola's resignation last season, helping Blues to Championship survival winning two of his three games in charge.
Despite keeping the club in the second tier, the former Spurs boss hadn't confirmed whether he'd be in charge of the club next season.
However, after speaking with Blues bosses a contract has been agreed, which will keep Redknapp at St. Andrews for the upcoming 2017/18 season.
Blues confirmed the deal online after reports surfaced of the deal being signed earlier on this week.
"Harry Redknapp is staying as Blues boss." read a club statement.
"Redknapp has signed a one-year deal.
"Just days after memorably guiding Blues to Sky Bet Championship safety, Redknapp has now committed again to the club.
"Redknapp held talks with the club's owners and board of directors this week and finalised the details of his contract last night.
"The composition of Redknapp's backroom team will be revealed in due course."
