Carl Ikeme still sidelined for Wolves but Helder Costa not ruled out
Carl Ikeme has been ruled out of today's clash at Bristol City – as Wolves look to make it six win on the spin.
Ikeme has missed Wolves' last two games with a hamstring injury and continues to be sidelined, with Andy Lonergan again set to deputise at Ashton Gate today.
Star man Helder Costa, who limped out of the warm-up to miss Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, was set to be given a late fitness test on an ankle problem.
Lambert said: "That was a blow, it threw everything. Hopefully with a bit of luck he'll be okay (for Bristol City) but if not we've got players to come in.
"We're not a one-man team. Certainly Costa has been a revelation but lads have come in and stepped up to the plate.
"At this moment in time we're in good shape.
"Carl's still struggling a bit but hopefully we get through this weekend and we've got more or less a full week before the next game, so we'll monitor him.
Wolves head to Ashton Gate full of confidence after five successive wins that have propelled them to 15th in the league, 11 points clear of the drop zone.
They face a Bristol City team who were thrashed 5-0 at Preston on Tuesday. Conversely, the Robins recently beat promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town 4-0 at home.
"That's the Championship," Lambert said. "More consistent teams are at the top end and the ones who can't get a consistent run find themselves down the bottom.
"We've got a big gap. We're going down to a place where a team has been beaten really heavily.
"We have to play our normal game. If we do that we've got players who can create and cause trouble.
"We also know with the crowd, and the way Bristol City got beat on Tuesday night, can be a big factor.
"We go down there in really good form and we go there to try and win.
Lambert was on Friday named as the Championship manager of the month for March.
That represented a remarkable turnaround after a disastrous February in which Wolves lost all five of their games.
Lambert, though, was keen not to claim individual praise for the award.
He said his players deserved the credit – and that he was always confident results would improve if Wolves stuck to their guns.
"My main concern is the team and the supporters – self praise has never really been part of my mantra," Lambert said of the EFL award, which he beat Villa boss Steve Bruce to.
"The players deserve the credit, not me. All I do is try and help them and get them to perform.
"It's really pleasing but I'm more delighted for what the team has done.
"We were playing well, it just wasn't falling for us.
"I knew if we'd persevere the results would turn. More importantly the players knew they were playing well and weren't far away from winning games.
"That was the big factor for me."
