The Welshman – who won the tournament – clashed with Simon Whitlock during the quarter-finals and then again with Gary Anderson in the final over what was deemed to be slow play and over-zealous celebrating.

The DRA said Price’s behaviour ‘drew an unprecedented number of complaints’. Price was fined £8,000 for his incident with Whitlock, £12,000 for clashing with Anderson and a further £1,500 for comments made on social media.
