Open tournament offers spot at PDC Q School

One darter will go to the PDC Qualifying School with their entry fee paid for after they are crowned the winner of a tournament in Wolverhampton this weekend.

Rileys Sports Bar, on Broad Street, are putting up the prize in an open competition with a straight best of seven knockout format on Saturday.

The PDC will again stage Q School in January where, this year, 42 throwers won places on the Pro Tour, with the rest joining the Challenge Tour.

Rileys have linked up to form part of an initiative with Nuneaton Darts, with 12 players across the Midlands receiving the entry fee to Q School.

They will be opening for registration from 10.30am, with the first players toeing the oche at 1pm. Up to 128 darters can be accommodated, at a cost of £10 each.
