After a relatively sedate start by Amritpal Singh (61) and Matthew Kleindveldt (54), Fell (100no) and Aneesh Kapil (67) belted the Brockhampton attack to all parts before Zen Malik finished the innings with a cameo 21no.

Faced with such a daunting total, the Herefordshire side ambled to 173-7, with Kleinveldt challenged Dorridge’s Ball as the all-rounder of the day with 4-49.

Although Kidderminster remain in the bottom two with Brockhampton, they boosted their survival chances with a comfortable six-wicket win over Walsall, who go into a vital game against Dorridge next week on the back of two defeats.

Bruce Thomason hit 71 in a Walsall total of 202-9, with Matt Pardoe taking 4-41 and Liam Weston picking up 3-25 for Kidderminster, who were steered to victory by Neil Pinner (68), Pardoe (53) and Connor Smith (47no). Ed Denham took all four of the Kidderminster wickets that fell.

West Bromwich Dartmouth were the latest side to suffer against Knowle & Dorridge New Zealander George Worker (173 and 4-41). Chasing 282-8, Dartmouth stumbled to 206-7, with Brinder Phagura (5-74) and Rawlston Tappin (58) their top performers.

Himley kept themselves on the fringes of the Division One promotion battle by thrashing Moseley by eight wickets.

Veteran all-rounder Chris Boroughs (5-28 and 56no) rolled back the years, ably assisted by Jamie Turner (3-28).

Amrinder Brar (84), Gurinder Singh (51) and Arif Mahmood (42) saw Smethwick to 265-9 at Leamington Spa, who closed on 254-8 for a draw, despite the efforts of Mo Sheikh (3-28).
