First win since May halts the Vics' slide

Kidderminster Victoria won for the first time since May to halt their slide down the Birmingham & District League Premier Division table.

They defeated struggling Brockhampton by 20 runs, with Nathan Round firing 46 in Kidderminster's total of 190.

Brockhampton were dismissed for 170 in reply, with Matt Pardoe taking 4-24.

Reigning champions West Bromwich Dartmouth, down in seventh, look set to lose their crown this year, but there was plenty of promise in their four-wicket victory over third-placed Shrewsbury.

Sarmad Bhatti took 4-39, but Dartmouth edged home led by 34 from skipper Kadeer Ali, who earlier took 3-2 with the ball.

Wolverhampton sunk back to the bottom of the table as they lost by 32 runs to Knowle & Dorridge.

Matthew Kleinveldt (4-57) and Jack Snape (4-58) shared eight of the wickets in Dorridge's 229-9, but Wolves were dismissed for 197 in reply. Adam Lawley top-scored with 43.

Moseley became the fourth team in five weeks to lead Division One, three points ahead of Walsall, who completed a double over Oswestry.

Ed Denham took 6-39 from 17 overs as Oswestry reached 194-9, but a third-wicket stand of 82 between Mike Hingley (67) and Alex McChristie (61no) formed the cornerstone of Walsall's six-wicket win.

Smethwick, in third place, trail Walsall by five points following a nail-biting one-wicket victory over Bromsgrove.

Mo Sheikh took 4-49 for Smethwick in Bromsgrove's 246-8. Shakeel Janjua (63) and Amitoze Singh (45) helped the reply to 234-8.

Navdeep Poonia and Waseem Shah saw Smethwick over the line with one ball to spare.

Old Hill slipped from first to fourth after a losing draw at Attock despite the best efforts of Billy-Jo Cox (3-35) and Hamza Ahmed (43).

Resurgent Himley overcame Wellington by seven wickets thanks to Arfan Khan (3-33), Ryan Brown (3-36), Greg Wright (74) and Will Fraine (68).

Brewood (129) were undone by Division Two leaders Sutton Coldfield (132-5) despite the best efforts of Chris Tranter (50) and Richard Hewitt (40).

Wombourne suffered defeat at Coventry & North Warwickshire. Tom Elwell top scored with 63 not out in their total of 197-6, with the hosts then easing home by five wickets.

Excellent bowling by Umar Khalid (3-36), Audy Alexander (3-36), Zain al Hassan (2-6) and Jitesh Jivan-Patel (2-29) routed Penkridge for 109 to lift Stourbridge off the bottom.

Alex Bingham (42), Matt Bradley (30) and Alexander (18 not out) steered them home.

Halesowen played out a high-scoring draw with Tamworth with Wes Griffiths (111), debutant Ed Kilbee (109) and Faisal Shahid (5-47) starring.

Division Three leaders Cannock & Rugeley Hawks were emphatic winners over Pelsall. Nadeem Akram took 7-30 and an easy win for Hawks was completed by 44 not out from Omar Ali.

Fordhouses moved into second place following a 93-run success against Kings Heath – Niall Cooper and Tendai Chisoro both hit 54, while Chris Guest took 3-33 and Kash Hussein 3-57.
