Walsall's top flight future hangs in balance
Walsall's Birmingham & District League Premier Division future is in the balance after they could only draw with Walmley in a reduced overs match.
They are now second bottom, just 13 points above rock-bottom Himley.
Walsall restricted the visitors to 138-7 as Dan Bowker, Paul Byrne and Umar Amin took two wickets each.
But they never threatened the total after the early losses of James Middleton and Amin and it took Alex McChristie's unbeaten 37 to avoid defeat.
Himley made up ground with a seven-wicket victory over Kenilworth Wardens. Wardens posted 160-8 as Stuart Wedge took 5-42 and Himley cruised home, after Greg Wright's 62 and 46 from Jamie Harris.
Kidderminster Victoria lifted their survival hopes with a four-wicket win against Barnt Green, who made 138-9.
Matt Pardoe took 4-38 for Kidderminster and Neil Pinner top-scored with 64. Leaders West Bromwich Dartmouth were washed out at Dorridge.
In Division One, Wombourne clung on at 116-9 for a losing draw with Shifnal, who made 187-9 as Ed Denham took 4-36.
Wolverhampton against Bromsgrove was abandoned without a ball bowled as were the games between Old Hill and Harborne, Oswestry and Moseley and Wellington and Smethwick.
Stourbridge went fourth in Division Two with a six-wicket win over bottom-of-the-table Halesowen.
Newcomer Will Fraine made 49 in Halesowen's 165-7 but an unbeaten 80 from Audy Alexander won it for Stourbridge. Penkridge v Brewood was washed out.
In Division Three, Streetly's winning draw over Milford Hall saw them to jump ahead of Sutton Coldfield into second.
Streetly posted 131-9 (Craig Moore 59 not out) and the home side replied with 81-8.
Meanwhile, Milford Hall's National Village Knockout Cup dream ended when they lost by 126 runs to Woodhouse Grange at the semi-final stage.
Guy Bulpitt's side were dismissed for 172 after Woodhouse posted 298-9 from their 40 overs.
Milford were 100-4 after the first 20 overs as they struggled to keep up with the required run-rate.
Woodhouse Grange will now play Great and Little Tew Cricket Club in the final at Lord's on Sunday, September 7.
