Tyler Denny still has the '0' to go for titles

Rowley Regis' Tyler Denny believes he can still achieve goal of titles next year as his '0' remains despite back-to-back draws.

Denny is back in action at the Venue in Dudley on Friday November 4 after recording the rarity of a double stalemate,

The Venue, on the High Street, once again hosts paid pugilists under the PJ Promotions banner, with fireworks expected on the evening before Bonfire Night.

The 25-year-old middleweight will be looking to go one better this time, having sparred with soon-to-be British title challenger Tommy Langford.

He has a former Langford opponent, Robert Studzinski, who took 'the Baggies Bomber' the distance back in June 2013.

Denny remains undefeated and believes he can build another winning run that will lead onto the title trail. He had three straight victories after turning over, prior to the draws.

He said: "A few victories and I could challenge for the Midlands title next year. Hopefully, this is my last four-rounder and then I'll step up.

"You never know, those two draws might help me out later on, when it comes to getting fights. They might think I'm an easier opponent than I am!

"I need to keep my cool, stick to my boxing and get back to winning ways. There can be no excuses, I need a good performance."

Denny turned pro at the Venue in March 2015, outpointing Shaunn Watt 39-37 after a hard-fought four rounds.

He went on to beat Aaron Robinson and James Conroy, dropping the latter on route to victory, in over-the-distance wins. He couldn't be parted from Simone Lucas and Cristian Hoskin-Gomez.

He added: "I can't wait to get back in there, I made my debut at the Venue and, hopefully, I'll be taking quite a few people with me."

Tipton's Ricky Summers returns over six as part of the same line-up, after a seven-month absence, against Chris Nixon.

The rest of the card will see Netherton's Les Byfield, Birmingham's Kane Baker, Telford's Tony Jones and Leicester's CJ Challenger occupy the home corner.

Tickets, priced at £35 and £50 ringside, are still available from promoter Paul 'PJ' Rowson on 07976 283 157.
