Fury-Klitschko support bout moved to Cannock
One of the bouts that was due to take place of the Tyson Fury versus Wladimir Klitschko under-card has been moved to Cannock.
Fury's withdrawal through injury has meant the BoxNation bill at the Manchester Arena will be postponed until a later date,
Another battle of the big men, between Nathan Gorman and Dave Howe in a six-rounder, was postponed along with the main event.
But Gorman, coached by boxing legend Ricky Hatton, will now go toe-to-toe with the towering Howe at the Chase Leisure Centre on July 24.
Hatton also co-promotes the Sunday afternoon show, titled 'Danger Zone,' with Errol Johnson's Black Country Boxing.
Undefeated Gorman, from Cheshire, has raced to four wins with three stoppages since turning pro in December, while Sheffield's Howe has 11 victories from 13 outings with six TKOs.
Hatton said: "It was a shame that Tyson got injured and the Manchester Arena bill was called off but, at least, Nathan has still got his best test to date.
"Of course, fighting in such a huge arena and on BoxNation would have been great for Nathan's career, but this kid is going all the way and they'll be plenty more big nights for him in the future.
"This is a cracking little card for the fight, as well, and I'm proud of what my team has put together. It's a good stage for Nathan to show people what he can do.
"Dave Howe is 6ft 8ins and has a good record, so he'll be coming to give Nathan all he's got. It's a test I expect jim to pass with flying colours, although he won't have it all his own way."
Another Hatton charge, Essex's Anthony Upton, co-challenges with Bloxwich's Luke Paddock for the vacant English super lightweight in a 10-round top liner.
Hatton will also lead Wednesbury's Sam Evans, Reuben Arrowsmith and Anthony's brother Sonny Upton into battle.
English super bantamweight champion Sean Davis keeps busy in a non-title affair with Zach Parker, Leon Gower and debutant Sahib Singh Mann completing the line-up.
