Gelder featured at light heavyweight on a show at the Aria Complex in the Maltese town of San Gwann on Saturday night, writes Craig Birch.
And 'Danger' proved trouble for debutant Goran Bogdanovic in the home corner, winning all four rounds comprehensively over-the-distance.
The 23-year-old set a fast pace and forced his opponent onto the back-foot, with Bogdanovic enjoying his best spells of pressure against the ropes.
That was when he could back Gelder up and let rip with fast and furious combinations of his own, although he couldn't save the result.
All three judges all ruled in favour of Gelder, Nick Aish and Stephen Farrugia by 40-36 landslide while Gwayn Bonsfield had it 39-37.
It tidies his pro record up to three wins from nine bouts, having lost six straight contests since his hand was last raised in September 2014.
It was his first outing since he was outpointed by Liam Milner in Liverpool three months ago, with his two KO defeats coming last winter.
Alex Hughes and Luke Crowcroft both stopped him in the the first round, although he cried foul through injury and low blows.
His luck first took a turn for the worst after he was outpointed by Mike Byles, the two points he had deducted for holding costing him a draw.
He had opened with two points wins, over the then-unbeaten Alfie Little after downing former Midlands champion Kevin McCauley on his debut.
