Danny Williams, who knocked out 'Iron Mike' in July 2004, will join Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua at Bar Sport's Premier Suite this month.

Joshua is billed as a future world heavyweight champion and is making a rare appearance on the after-dinner circuit on Wednesday September 23,

Scott Murray, owner of Bar Sport's Premier Suite, was a top amateur boxer and was a sparring partner to Williams.

He said: "Danny and myself go back a long way. We used to be sparring partners as amateur fighters and I travelled to Las Vegas to support him in his fight against Klitschko.

"It will be great to see him on the night. Danny was a great world heavyweight contender while Anthony Joshua will be a world heavyweight champion. Anthony Joshua is the real deal."

Joshua has won his 13 professional fights so far stopping all of his opponents. Back in 2012 he won the super heavyweight title at the Olympic Games.

Mr Murray has also announced that Ray 'Boom Boom' Mancini will also be appearing at the venue on October 22.

Mancini is a former world lightweight champion and will prove to be a big hit with boxing fans.

Back in May, Carl Froch was invited to the venue and Bar Sport's Premier Suite has welcomed past greats including Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Tommy Hearns and Nigel Benn.

Tickets for all of the events include a five course meal and entertainment from a comedian and prices start from £45. For more information, call 01543 572092.
