Wolverhampton's Des Bowater takes on Leicester's Lewis Jones for the British Masters Bronze super featherweight title in one half of the main event.

Halesowen's Lennox Clarke competes for the same crown at super middleweight in the other eight-rounder, although his opponent has yet to be determined, writes Craig Birch.

The former white collar fighter is developing a reputation as a puncher, with three stoppages from his six straight wins including a stunning 14 second knockout of Raimonds Sniedze.

That has made finding a suitable adversary for the 23-year-old harder than usual, but promoter Errol Johnson is hoping to have him matched by the New Year.

Bowater can prepare for his co-challenger ad is defending a half dozen of successive victories, too, with Jones scoring two of each from the same amount of contests.

He's won, lost and drawn in equal measure although he has seen the finish every time, while 'D Bow' has dropped just a round having also gone the distance on each occasion.

Confirmed for the under-card, a dinner show to be held in the Stadium Suite at the Banks's Stadium, is Midlands lightweight title hopeful Andy Keates.

The Stoke slugger warms up for his area showdown with Worcester's Michael Mooney, which is planned for April, through a routine four-rounder.

Both Des Bowater (pictured here left) and Lewis Jones have gone the distance every time in six professional contests.

Johnson said: "It promises to be a great show. Lennox and Des are both highly-rated prospects who have won their opening six fights.

"They both need a step up to eight-round contests and Bronze Masters titles are the perfect stepping stone for them. It's a big year for them both.

"Andy needs a 'keep busy' fight ahead of his big showdown with Michael Mooney, so this is perfect.

"The Stadium Suite at Walsall FC is a great venue and it's nice to be able to announce the details of this show before Christmas."

Tickets range from £30, £40 ringside or £50 VIP with a three-course meal included. For more information, call the Walsall FC ticket office on 01922 651 414-416 or 07557 395 138.
