Jamie Gelder v Dempsey Fury is called off
Coseley's Jamie Gelder has seen his hopes of a clash with Tyson Fury's cousin dashed after he was replaced as an opponent.
Gelder believes he boxed himself out of the running by scoring his second straight win as a professional on Sunday afternoon.
The 22-year-old is unbeaten from his pair of outings and dropped Alfie Little in the fourth and last round of a convincing win at London's York Hall.
'Danger' left his opponent on the canvas after a left hand set up a right hook over the top, winning every session in a 40-35 score.
He was supposed to be taking on Dempsey Fury on a Channel Five televised bill at Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield on Saturday night.
He's now been scrubbed from the line-up, so has dropped down to middleweight and accepted a fight with Mike Byles in Bedworth a week later.
