Christopher Keane is added to Walsall bill
Midlands cruiserweight champion Christopher Keane has been added to the bill at Walsall Town Hall after his fight in Birmingham next week was called off.
It's a home-town appearance on Saturday March 1, rather than his planned contest at the Institute next Friday, where the whole show has been cancelled.
The 27-year-old won the area title on the same ground in three rounds from Shane McPhilbin 13 months ago, but has also suffered heartbreak at the venue.
Keane was stopped in the second round by Neil Dawson for the WBO International belt that May but boxed once at the Town Hall since, beating Remigijus Ziausys.
The former ABA national champion steps in with Igor Borucha, a well-travelled Lithuanian who has fought the likes of Wadi Camacho and Louis Cuddy in England.
Tickets, for what is now an eight-fight card, are priced at £30 and £60 ringside and available from the Town Hall Box Office on 0845 111 2900.
The after-show party is at the Pitch Sports Bar and Grill on Bridge Street in Walsall.
