George Groves to talk Froch in Birmingham
George Groves will take questions on the most controversial end to a fight in 2013 and his feud with Carl Froch at a sportsman's dinner in Birmingham.
The world title challenger's efforts to tear the WBA and IBF super middleweight titles away from Froch in the Fight of the Year is a hot topic of conversation.
Groves floored the hardly-ever-dropped champion in the first round and won over the pro-Froch crowd in Manchester, before he was halted himself in the ninth.
Referee Howard Foster's decision to jump in as the two fighters traded leather and pull Groves out of the fight prompted a furious backlash from spectators and fans.
Three months on from that night at the Manchester Arena, the 25-year-old 'Saint George' and trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick will relive the experience to assembled guests.
The stoppage and prospects of a rematch with Froch will be tackled, with former WBC world welterweight champion John H Stracey asking the pertinent questions.
The event takes place on Friday February 21 at the Holiday Inn, Smallbrook Queensway, with tickets available at £50, £75 and £100, which includes a three-course meal.
The pricing takes into account priority seating and there will be photo opportunities on the night. For more information, call 07976 842 383 or go to www.boxfroguk.com.
