Stourbridge's Sam Eggington hit the road to make his professional debut and upset local favourite Leon Findlay in Swansea at the weekend.
Eggington travelled to Wales for a four-round contest with Findlay, from nearby Ammanford, at the Oceana night club on Friday night.
And it was the 18-year-old's hand which was raised by referee Reece Carter at the end of the fight in a 39-37 call, by three rounds to one.
The two welterweights began at a brisk pace with Eggington looking for the big shots, fending off Findlay's jab to land uppercuts and hooks.
The home fighter's jab continued to pop out regularly but Eggington's work rate led him to victory and the teen looked strong at the weight.
The former Warley ABC amateur, who won a Clubs for Young People national title as an unpaid prospect, appears to have a bright future.
