Tipton's Lee Glover has pulled out of his six-round fight on the boxing bill at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday night for personal reasons.

Glover had originally been due to face Dan Naylor, who is serving a British Boxing Board of Control for being stopped two weeks ago.

The plan had been to replace Naylor with a foreign opponent but Glover will now not box at all, with the featherweight bout scrapped.

West Bromwich's Marcus Portman will also sit it out this weekend after his fight with Birmingham's Nasser Al Harbi officially collapsed.

The show they were due to headline, a Dave Coldwell-promoted bill at the New Bingley Hall in Birmingham, was cancelled last week.

Portman had hoped the bout would be switched to the Walsall bill 24 hours later but Al Harbi has now accepted another opponent.

Fellow Birmingham fighter and Britain's only world amateur champion Frankie Gavin will now oppose the undefeated 22-year-old.

The two will clash in a 10-rounder, expected to be made at welterweight, at the Newport Leisure Centre in Wales on Saturday May 25.

Another fighter linked to the Walsall bill, Stourbridge's Steven Pearce, has also had his opponent switched for Saturday night.

Mark Bett was stopped by Kevin Hooper on April 27, the same night as Naylor was knocked out by Andy Colquhoun.

Bett must now serve a ban for his own safety and has been replaced by Liam Griffiths for the welterweight four-rounder.

Tickets are available from Walsall Town Hall or by calling the box office on 0845 111 2900.
