Young Mutley out of Al Harbi fight

West Bromwich's Young Mutley has pulled out of his contest against hometown fighter Nasser Al Harbi in Birmingham next month.

The search is on today for his replacement for the 10-round light middleweight main event at the New Bingley Hall on Friday May 11.

Mutley - real name Lee Woodley - is definitely off the bill but the former British welterweight champion had, initially, accepted the fight.

The reasons for his change of heart are unclear as his manager, Errol Johnson, relayed the news to promoter Dave Coldwell.

Coldwell is planning to press on without him and will step up his efforts to bring in a top-class replacement this week.

Al Harbi will need a high-calibre test if he is to make up the ground on English title contention, after a blank last month.

His eliminator against Coseley's Jamie Ball on March 16 was ruled a technical draw in the fourth round after he picked up a cut.
