Stafford's Grant Cunningham today vowed to take his big break on TV at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on March 23.

Cunningham is a support act to the British cruiserweight title fight between champion Shane McPhilbin and Enzo Maccarinelli, live on BoxNation.

It's the 28-year-old's first time in front of the cameras in just his third professional fight, going up against Danny Brown over four rounds.

The unbeaten middleweight from Moss Pit has already scored his first stoppage, taking less than two rounds to dispose of Dan Phelps.

A swift maneuver to feign a right jab before connecting with a solid left hook was a finish worthy of the box last time and a repeat will be the aim.

Cunningham said: "Roll on fight night, there's a bit more pressure but it adds something to it, there's a lot more meaning to this fight now.

"This guy is a southpaw, a tidy boxer but the second fight was a good demonstration and I hope to do the same again.

"It's a fast step up, a bigger crowd, a better opponent and I refuse to look bad on TV!"

Cunningham has experienced differing opponents in his first two paid outings, having made his debut against Davey Jones last February.

Journeyman Jones was cut, hurt and took a count but just about survived the six rounds, although he hasn't boxed since.

Phelps came in at late notice for his own pro debut and came to fight, but got caught after lunging in one time too many.

Brown may be 35 but he only turned pro last year and, despite two wins and draw on his record, Cunningham has the same confidence.

He said: "There's a lot more to show, I am normally a lot more aggresive but if I can make a fight easy, I will.

"Once you are in there, it can all change and he might change his mind about going toe-to-toe with me.

"I will go in there and do whatever gets the job done. I f I have to outbox him, I will outbox him."
