Aston's Chris Truman was denied a shock victory over Lenny Daws as the former British light welterweight champion came from behind to score a points win.

Truman looked to be four rounds up halfway into their eight-rounder in front of the Channel Five cameras at Rotherham's Magna Centre.

'The Trumanator' kept moving and worked off the jab, peppering Daws to the head as he gave chase, before the 33-year-old came to life.

The tide turned with a solid right from Daws in the fourth round, as Truman tried to fend off the jab and was backed onto the ropes.

Although it was a telling blow, the 27-year-old was back and landing regularly again in the fifth round.

All eyes turned to referee Michael Alexander at the final bell, who arrived at a somewhat harsh score of 79-75 to Daws.

Alexander had given Truman just a round of the fight and five to Daws, with two drawn sessions.
