Coseley's Tommy Ghent will square off with Walsall's Joel Ryan when they open the Prizefighter show at Wolverhampton Civic Hall next month.
Ghent and Ryan will contest four rounds in front of the Sky Sports cameras in the prelude to the eight-man, one night, tournament on February 11.
'Tommy Gun' is a part of the show as a 'Prizefighter Prospect,' signed to the Matchroom stable, and will face a capable opponent in the 21-year-old.
Ryan beat the then-reigning Midlands welterweight champion, Sean McKervey, in a non-title affair last March and can spring a shock.
But Ghent insists it's the sort of test he wants, despite this being just his third fight since turning pro last September.
He said: "It's definitely a test for me, he's a good boxer and has got a good jab. I would rather have the tough fights, though.
"I like to have my opponent get in there and come at me, I don't want anyone who has come for the pay.
"It's better to have someone in there who wants to beat me, that will bring the best out in me."
Despite his inexperience, both of Ghent's opponents have failed to go more than two rounds with the 19-year-old.
The teenager could make it a hat-trick of stoppages with an early win at the Civic and he is hoping to make his punches count.
He said: "Time will tell, I believe in my talent and, on the night, hopefully I will perform. I will keep calm and relaxed.
"I reckon I have more power than he does, I can come in at different angles and throw shots he doesn't expect.
"His jab is his best asset and I need to be aware of that, I will be a lot more on my toes with that in mind.
"Hopefully, my power will sting him so I can break him down."
