Ex-Wolves defender Lee Naylor was today handed the opportunity to impress new Birmingham City boss Lee Clark after he joined Blues on trial.

Naylor, 32, has been without a club since he was released by Cardiff City last month and will be given the chance to earn a contract at St Andrew's.

Bloxwich-born Naylor made more than 300 first-team appearances for Wolves after he made his debut in 1997 and was part of the team which earned promotion from the Championship in 2002-03.

He left Molineux for Scottish giants Celtic in August 2006 for £600,000.
