The Baggies and loan frontman Adam Armstrong have been misfiring and Mowbray spoke very highly of on-loan Tottenham youngster Will Lankshear, who has only started once since checking in late in the January transfer window.

You can read what Mowbray had to say of Lankshear on Saturday morning on the Express & Star website - but his comments have made me think the 19-year-old will make the cut against the Hornets.

Armstrong, who has managed just two goals and struggled to get up to speed, could continue in support of Lankshear, in the number 10 role, or from the left, but I've left him on the bench.

Elsewhere in Mowbray's side there are slim pickings in midfield with the news Jayson Molumby's suspension appeal went against Albion and the Irishman will serve a three-match ban for his red card on Tuesday. It felt to me like a hopeful-at-best appeal that was never going to go Albion's way.

There is a problematic injury to Ousmane Diakite, who would have been a useful call in Molumby's absence.

Tammer Bany is pushing for a start and Mowbray admitted the Dane is very close but he had a scan on a hamstring injury on Thursday and is a doubt.
