Darts round-up: Individual glory for Lloyd

Gornal Labour’s Lloyd James clinched the Ettingshall Sunday League Individual title by defeating Lanesfield’s Lee Betts 3-0, writes Paul Walters.

James made it through a tough semi-final battle with Ryan Tinsley 2-1, while Betts enjoyed a 2-0 success over Kie Williams.

Hurst Hill’s Libby Gowen claimed the ladies title after beating defending champion Shelle Price 2-0 in the final. Losing in the semi-finals were Alison Ward and Rita Keay.

The top two in the West Midlands Super League – Staffs Knot and Dog & Partridge – produced an amazing 15 maximums and two 11-dart legs.

Stephen Jones and Jamie Hughes got five maximums and averaged 101.71, while Rob Thompson won for Knot with Ryan O’Connor getting four maximums. Dean Fullwood replied for Dog.
