The 25-year-old has scored 13 goals in 26 Premier League appearances and a further two in cup competitions this season.
Cunha penned a new deal with Wolves until 2029 in February which contains a £62.5 million release clause that becomes active in the summer.
“I had a lot of offers but I wouldn’t feel well if I had done it,” he revealed in an interview with the Guardian.
“Some things you can’t control but I couldn’t leave the club in the middle of the season, in a difficult situation, in the relegation zone.
“Now, we’re close to achieving our goal [of staying up]. But I’ve made it clear that I need to take the next step. I want to fight for titles, for big things. I have potential.”
The Brazilian striker is currently suspended after receiving a three-match ban which was extended by an extra game following his red card against AFC Bournemouth in the FA Cup in February.

He admitted to acting in an "improper manner" and was charged £50,000 by the FA following his clash with Cherries defender Milos Kerkez.
His extended ban means he will also miss the trip to Portman Road to face relegation rivals Ipswich Town on April 5.
Cunha joined Wolves on loan with an obligation to buy from Atletico Madrid in January 2023 and subsequently penned a four-year deal at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Since his arrival, Cunha has scored 31 goals and set-up 13 more in 85 matches across all competitions during his spell at Molineux.
The former RB Leipzig and Hertha BSC attacker has played an instrumental role this term for Wolves, who sit nine points adrift of the relegation zone with nine games remaining.
After a difficult spell in Spain with Atletico, Cunha says he is grateful for the affection Wolves have shown him and for helping him rediscover the joy of playing football.
“Sometimes all we want in life is affection,” Cunha added.
“People think we have everything, but we’re human beings, too. We need a bit of understanding – we have our difficulties.
"Wolves gave me that joy back. The fans [have given] me a lot. The status I have today, the player I am now and the happiness I’m feeling, it’s because of them. I’m really grateful to Wolves.”
