Tope Obadeyi met David Worrall's delightful cross with a downward header into the far bottom corner to give Kidderminster a 16th-minute lead.

Zak Brown slotted past Lincoln City loanee Jamie Pardington to double Harriers' advantage in the 68th-minute, before bagging a five-minute brace with a powerful strike into the top corner.

Phil Brown's outfit, who stay two points adrift of the National League North summit, remain in second-place after putting together a remarkable run of eight wins from their last nine games (drawing once).

Rushall Olympic kept their feint hopes of survival alive courtesy of a 2-1 victory over South Shields at Dales Lane.

Louis Hall gave the Pics the lead midway into the second half when he tapped home an excellent cross from Theo Williams.

Brad Bood was shown a straight red card for a high tackle on Isetyn Hughes and Aaron Forde scored an own goal from the resulting free-kick to inflict a second blow in quick succession for 10-man Rushall.

But Forde went from zero to hero in the latter stages when he embarked on a mesmerising solo run before rounding the goalkeeper to secure a vital three points for Rushall.

The Pics sit third from bottom as it stands and are still nine points adrift of safety with five games remaining.

Stourbridge extended their unbeaten run to five games with a 1-0 success over Alvechurch in the Southern League Premier Central.

39-year-old frontman Tyrone Barnett stooped low at the back post to head home Blaine Rowe's corner from an acute angle just past the half-hour mark.

Tensions boiled over in the final 10 minutes when Rowe and Alvechurch striker Dan Sweeney were sent off for an off the ball incident.

It was a positive end to a difficult week for the Glassboys after it was announced that they will need to pull down "a number of stands" at the War Memorial Ground.

Stourbridge announced that next month's curtain closer against Bromsgrove will be the last its 137-year-old home will exist in "its present guise".

Boss Liam McDonald said: "It has been a tough week but we hope we were able to put smiles on faces today.

"We are Stourbridge - united, resilient, and in this journey together. In the face of adversity, we stand strong. What a community."

Halesowen missed the chance to move top of the Southern Central on goal difference after drawing 1-1 at Harborough.

Conor Tee scored from the rebound after a rapid breakaway goal immediately after the restart but Jutorre Burgess rescued a point for Harborough four minutes from time.
