For others, it is the usual busy time with the club's medical and physical department in a bid to ensure they are recovered and ready to play some part of the final eight games of the Championship campaign.
The spring international break is often welcomed by those in the game, grateful for a breather ahead of one final push in the bid for promotion or survival. The breaks to start the season - the last few years have brought international action in September, October and November - can feel restrictive. This fortnight can be advantageous.
Albion only have four players away on international duty. There are as many as eight others who can be considered internationals in the first-team squad who have missed out. Though among the quartet there are two players in Torbjorn Heggem and Grady Diangana expected back at a later stage with little time before a return to club action at Norwich.

The eight-game run-in includes a testing three-match week - featuring a midweek trip to play-off rivals Bristol City - and annual Easter Bank Holiday double-header clashes on Good Friday and Easter Monday challenge at the slightly later dates this year of April 18 and 21.
Head coach Tony Mowbray allowed his first-team squad a couple of days off to begin the week but work continues at the training HQ in Walsall as eyes slowly turn to a trip to Norwich's Carrow Road on Saturday week. Non-international players are also set to be given this weekend off.
"I think it's an opportunity for them to regenerate, really, to relax and get ready for a push at the end of the season," Mowbray said.
