Josh Maja's injury after netting 12 goals in the first half of the season was the latest injury set back - as Albion's dismal luck with injuries at the top end of the field continued.

Whether it was Maja, who is in the midst of a third recovery from an injury in his time at Albion, or the long term set backs suffered by Daryl Dike, Albion's striking headaches have been reoccuring in recent years.

But the arrival of marksman Armstrong and his prolific Championship goal scoring record, on the back of capturing highly rated Tottenham youngster Will Lankshear, looked like it could be season defining for Albion, in a good way.

However, although Armstrong has had high moments, like his debut goal in the dramatic win over Sheffield Wednesday, he hasn't hit his straps in the scoring department just yet.

The on loan Southampton forward has bagged just two goals in eight starts since his arrival from the Saints. His displays in isolation have not been alarming, but impressive at times, giving Albion a different dimension to what they've had before.

But the fans, Tony Mowbray and Armstrong himself will have been hoping for more goals. So why haven't they arrived?
