Hosts Tividale edged a topsy-turvy seven-goal thriller at The Beeches against top-half opposition in Studley to climb four points clear of the drop zone with a third win in four.

Things looked ominous for the third-bottom home side as Studley raced into a 2-0 lead by the midpoint of the first half.

Ezekiel Agyemang reduced the arrears with his first from the penalty spot and Jordon Sangha finished a neat move in the Studley box to level things up at half-time.

Tividale led for the first time a few minutes after the interval with Agyemang spot-on again from 12 yards after officials spotted a handball in the penalty box.

The hosts relied on some fine saves by Ethan Hawkes and Alfie Higgs made it 4-2 on 65 minutes tapping home after fine work from Agyemang.

Tividale's Callum Lloyd saw red for a second caution late on and the visitors pulled another back for a nervy ending but Tividale held on to put some daylight between themselves and second-bottom Highgate, who lost.

Casuals responded from their heavy defeat to Tividale seven days earlier with a significant morale-boosting victory at fourth-bottom Uttoxeter Town.

Connor Parker's 17th-minute goal was the difference between the two sides on a big afternoon in Staffordshire. Uttoxeter, now only four points clear of Tivi and nine of Casuals, could not find an equaliser after the break.

Brocton slipped a place to fourth as they missed a chance to move within a point of second-placed visitors Shifnal at Silkmore Lane.

The Badgers' top scorer Reg Smith opened the scoring in the 12th minute but Shifnal's Josh Beamond converted a neat equaliser 10 minutes later.

The even clash was on a knife-edge until Shifnal substitute Taylor Need emerged from the bench to slip in a cool low finish. Brocton thought they found an immediate equaliser but for the offside flag.

Leaders Lichfield were without a game but are still seven points clear.
