Albion went toe to toe with the Clarets, and went in front thanks to John Swift's superb first half free kick.
However, the lead only lasted three minutes as a tame shot was spilled by Joe Wildsmith, into the path of Zian Flemming who equalised.
Albion had chances through Adam Armstrong in the first half and then Mikey Johnston in the second, with the winger striking the bar.
