Albion edged themselves in front against the Hoops through Adam Armstrong's penalty, before Darnell Furlong was sent off before the break for an alleged elbow.

The second was largely a case of defending the box and digging in - and Tony Mowbray's men did that superbly.

Jonny Drury looks at a few key points to come from the game:

A huge test passed

The game really changed on the red card. The first half wasn't the best and chances were not flowing, but Albion managed to get themselves in front.

But the sending off changed everything and meant Albion faced a different test in the second period.

Although they did still carry a bit of threat on the break, it was more about just digging in, defending the area, heading and kicking absolutely everything, and doing what they needed to, in a bid to get Albion over the line.
