Walsall looked destined to secure a third successive league win when they led 2-0 heading into the closing stages at Gloucestershire thanks to goals from Ellis Harrison and Albert Adomah.
However, the hosts stunned the League Two leaders with late strikes from former Saddlers striker George Miller and Jordan Thomas rescuing a dramatic late point for the Robins.
The Saddlers, who sit seven points clear at the summit, are currently enjoying a four-game unbeaten run, but have dropped points from winning positions in three of their last five matches.
Nonetheless, Sadler says he won't be dwelling on what has happened in the past and was adamant that his players won't be either.
He said: "We're just going to go after the next game. I'm not going to think about the last bits [in the draw at Cheltenham]
"There's loads of good things that you can pick out of whatever game. We're four unbeaten if you want to look at it like that.
