The left back, who arrived in the summer from Serie A side Juventus, has struggled to break into the Albion so far this season.

He has made just seven appearances in all competitions - and at stages has missed out on matchday squads.

As Mowbray looks at Albion's fringe players, he made the trip to Kidderminster Harriers on Monday night to watch the full back in Albion's 1-1 draw with Wolves.

Mowbray has praised the defender's attributes and hinted that he may have a role in the side in the season run in.

He explained: "Frabotta - as I've said since to him, the player I think he is, I need to see him play.

"He's a deliverer, he whips the ball forward from deep or from wide into the box.

"He's got an attribute which could help the team moving forward, but we'll see in the last 13 games if he can work his way into the team or not."

Mowbray has been in attendance at the last two Albion under 21 games, having watched their win over Newcastle United in the previous week.

He has insisted he will be looking to run the rule over as many games as he can - and admits he has already seen potential in certain individuals.

He added: "They have the better opportunities to score a second goal. I enjoyed the game, it was competitive as you'd expect.

"I like some of the young players, there is a potential there.

"I will make sure I watch all the games I can for the 21s, I think it's important for the players to see that the head coach is watching them and making sure I'm aware of who I want to come and train with us when we need extra bodies."
