Non-league round-up: Harriers 'unrecognisable' in away defeat
Phil Brown slammed his Kidderminster Harriers side for not doing the 'basics' in their 3-1 defeat at Marine on Tuesday night.
Ashley Hemmings gave Harriers the lead with a sixth-minute overhead kick, but the relegation-threatened hosts roared back to win - helped by a red card for Kidderminster's Ryley Reynolds just past the half-hour-mark.
Harriers have just one win from their last seven games in all competitions to slip to seventh in the National League North table.
And Brown said: "I looked at the first 15/20 minutes of the game and I thought 'that's my team' and then the next 20 minutes of the game it was unrecognisable.
"We've just been talking about the basics - the basics of not setting up properly from a throw-in and one lad has a pop from 30 yards and it goes in the top corner, goes in the postage stamp. You can't blame Christian Dibble for that, but you can blame players for not defending a simple throw-in.
"Then they get themselves a foothold in the game at 1-1, but then it was set pieces and then we've lost the game on basics - it's quite as simple as it gets.
"And then a young lad loses his head and gets a red card, and unfortunately where Ryley's concerned, he looks like he's staring at a red card in every game.
"He runs that risk, but he's a good player and he has to learn because he's cost us."
Meanwhile, Stafford Rangers missed the chance to pull further clear of the Northern One West relegation zone as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Bootle.
Michael McGrath had headed the Boro level 10 minutes into the second half, but Sam Hughes won it for the visitors with 12 minutes remaining.
Darlaston Town's trip to Anstey Nomads in Northern One Midlands was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
